The economic downturn has affected all of us, including the Lake County Community Foundation. We find ourselves caught between the rising needs of the many citizens who benefit from our grant awards and the reduced contributions from all of us who are feeling the pinch in our pocketbooks.
However, LCCF was incredibly fortunate to have an anonymous donor contribute one million dollars to our General Fund in August, 2008. This amazing gift allows us to continue our grant awards without a pause, and to to increase our net assets almost 40% from a year ago to nearly $1.7 million. - Bob Fisher, President, LCCF
